Jesus is The Only Way to God How can Christians make such ‘offensive’ and ‘exclusive’ claims? The answer is relatively simple. Although anyone can claim to be divine, be divinely inspired, or have mystical visions or experiences, only Jesus’ claims were substantiated by both prophecy and miracles. Details of His life were not only foretold many hundreds of years before He was born, but he performed miracles to authenticate His message, and made quite a few prophecies of His own.
Jesus And World Peace The Bible’s undeniable connections between Jesus and peace cause many to assume that bringing peace to the world was something Christ was supposed to do. However, in Jesus' reply to His own rhetorical question in Luke 12 He unequivocally stated that his earthly ministry was not to bring peace to the earth. This seems to flatly contradict everything the Bible says about Him and peace and has been pointed out by the already skeptical as an example of a clear contradiction in the Scriptures. In actuality world peace is the will of God - but not yet.
Alleged Bible Errors (Overview) After forty years of continual and careful study of the Bible, I can only conclude that those who have "discovered a mistake" in the Bible do not know too much about the Bible - they know too little about it. This does not mean, of course, that we understand how to resolve all the difficulties in the Scriptures. But we have seen enough problems resolved to know these also admit answers.
Does the Bible Contradict Itself?
That charge is frequently made by skeptics. However a careful consideration of the "law of contradiction" will demonstrate otherwise. A true contradiction only occurs when two (or more) different statements on a topic cannot both be true at the same time and in the same sense.
There is no contradiction if two or more people give us different or additional information simply because when more than one person speaks or writes about the same event, each of them is going to use the different words and phrases in their description and include or exclude various details.

Was the New Testament Influenced By Pagan Religions? Many Christian college students have encountered criticisms of Christianity based on claims that early Christianity and the New Testament borrowed important beliefs and practices from a number of pagan mystery religions. Since these claims undermine such central Christian doctrines as Christ's death and resurrection, the charges are serious. But the evidence for such claims, when it even exists, often lies in sources several centuries older than the New Testament. Moreover, the alleged parallels often result from liberal scholars uncritically describing pagan beliefs and practices in Christian language and then marveling at the striking parallels they think they've discovered.

Polygamy In The Bible: There are a growing number of Christians who believe that Polygamy is an acceptable practice, based on 1) it was practiced by some of the Old Testament patriarchs 2) The Bible does not specifically condemn it, and 3) Because God permits and regulates the practice, He must condone it. However the question that has to concern the New Testament believer is not what Jacob or Elkanah did, but what God’s original design for marriage was.
